Smoke and heat ventilation in car parks
A revision of this standard was published in 2014.
Two possible solutions are specified in this standard.
- Appendix A: Theoretical calculation with a maximum of 20 meters width in the parking areas.
- Appendix B: Specification of an application with CFD for the car parks.
The first 2006 standard only applies to car parks that have received an approved building permit for 2014 (including fire brigade report).

DIRECTIVE BVV
Fire protection in car parks.
Is the guideline that is generally expected will be published later as an additional basic standard for the fire protection of car parks.
This directive can only be included in a subsequent revision of the basic standards.
It is therefore possible that changes will still be made. BVV (Brandweer Vereniging Vlaanderen) has passed this on to all Flemish forces as a guideline.
Is a choice of the corps whether they want to use it or not.
